Changing a Euro cylinder lock can be a slightly tricky task and mostly requires a locksmith to get the job done quickly.
If you want to save on the labour costs, you may also try doing the lock change yourself. The first step in doing this is removing the old lock from the door. To do this, you must first remove the fixing screw. Then, loosen the face plate screws and insert the key onto the lock. While the key is inside the lock, turn it gently from side to side until you completely slide the lock away from the door.
To install a new Euro cylinder lock, you just need to reverse the process. Place the cylinder inside the door with the key inserted on it. Then, rotate the key from side to side to properly position the lock onto the door. Lastly, fasten all the screws onto their proper positions to lock the new Euro cylinder lock in place. These cylinders come in many different sizes. A highly rated locksmith will carry most sizes in their van, ready to install.
